Keillor is also the host of the daily radio and online program, The Writers Almanac, and a best-selling author of many books, including Lake Wobegon Days; Love Me; and Homegrown Democrat.

In 2006, Garrison Keillor appeared in the film adaptation of A Prairie Home Companion. The film, directed by Robert Altman and with a cast including Meryl Streep, Lily Tomlin, Kevin Kline, and Garrison Keillor himself, was received with critical acclaim. With continuing interest in his radio work and writings, Keillor remains one of the most popular American storytellers of all time.
